CHAIR BOTTOMS

How to wrap and staple vinyl dining room seat cushions?

The key to wrapping your dining room chair bottoms is HEAT. If you have a heat gun you are all set! Firs you will want to remove the seat bottom from the chair. Then remove the old vinyl or material and staples. Then you will want to cut out your vinyl at least three inches larger than the chair bottom and add and an extra inch for every inch of thickness in your padding on the seat. Now after you have your material cut out get your staple gun ready and your heat gun warming up. Staple the center of one side then heat the vinyl up on the face and pull to the opposite center and staple until you have all stapled but the corners, now this is where your heat will really come in handy. heat the corner well and pull the center of the corner inward and staple move to your left and right equaling stapling outward and repeat on all four corners.
